Both Mdm Haalipa and her husband are medically unfit for work. They live at home with their 2 daughters aged 11 and 17. Their 5 year old nephew also lives with them as his parents are under probation.

Mdm Haalipa has pain in her knees and has difficulty in her mobility and requires a walking aid. Mdm Haalipa has provided Ray of Hope with a doctor’s letter detailing this. She is certified unfit for work and has been for the last 2-3 years. Her husband is at end-stage renal failure and is undergoing dialysis at NKF 3 times a week. He, too, is medically unfit for work.

Their SSO support recently expired in June and they are seeking a renewal. They are also being supported by MUIS until December this year.

Mdm Haalipa’s elder daughter is currently studying in ITE. She was working part time in banquets to help support the family. However, with the outbreak of Covid-19 and the cessation of events in Singapore, she lost her job.

Ray of Hope would like to raise $2,500 ($500 x 5 months) for Mdm Haalipa and her family’s living expenses.
