Mdm. Sulia is the main caregiver of her four children, aged between 12 to newborn. Her husband was the sole breadwinner supporting the family with his income as a food delivery rider.

Unfortunately, he met with his first accident in 2018 while he was delivering food. Just as he was recovering from the first, he got into another accident in 2020. This resulted in a further ligament tear, and he has been on medical leave from October 2020 till 7 May 2021. The doctors have advised him to undergo a surgery previously, and this would be further reviewed after his medical leave ends in May. In the meantime, the family is relying on assistance from the Social Service Office (SSO) that ends this month. However, this amount is barely sufficient for the family to get by each month.

Mdm. Sulia worries about the finances at home especially with three young children. Her eldest daughter who has mobility issues, was also diagnosed with cerebral palsy along with chronic lung disease and hearing impairment.

Ray of Hope would like to raise S$3,000 for Mdm. Sulia and her family. This will help them with their food and children’s expenses for the next 3 months ($1,000 x 3 months).

*Mdm Sulia’s social assistance ends in April 2021.
