Ray of Hope has made the first disbursement of $450 to Mr Meiyappan. We were updated by his caseworker that Mr Meiyappan has been doing well in his community-based programme. Despite his medical condition, Mr Meiyappan secured a job as a cleaner. Few weeks into his employment, Mr Meiyappan fell ill and was admitted in hospital and given 10 days  of Medical Leave. He has since returned to work, but the number of medical appointments and recommendation from the doctor might require him to quit his job for the time being. He shared that the assistance for Ray of Hope is timely and very helpful for his expenses whenever he goes out for medical or other appointments.
