Background

Mdm Zaleha is a single mother to 5 children between the ages of 3 years old to 11 years old. She is currently undergoing divorce from her estranged husband who has stopped providing for the family. He is also no longer living with them.

Most of Mdm Zaleha’s children suffers from severe Asthma and her second child who is 10 years old suffers from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Her third child who is 7 years old has also shown symptoms of ADHD.

The Struggle – Wanting to Better Provide for her Children

It has been an extremely difficult time for Mdm Zaleha. While her estranged husband is working full time, he has stopped providing for his 5 children and all caregiving duties and expenses has fallen solely on Mdm Zaleha. She has been unable to work due to Depression, however, she is now determined to return back to the workforce in order to fully support her 5 children.

Mdm Zaleha’s love for her children can clearly be seen. She informed us that she lives solely for her children and she has sometimes even skipped meals in order for her children to have a bigger portion of food. She also hides her sorrows and troubles away from her children as she wants them to grow up in a happy and safe environment.

Mdm Zaleha has applied for a taxi license and wishes to be a taxi driver as the flexibility of the job would allow her to work when her children are in school.

Give Hope – Help Needed

Ray of Hope would like to raise S$800.00 for Mdm Zaleha to be able to apply for a taxi license, undergo necessary medical tests and other miscellaneous fees. Please give hope to Mdm Zaleha and her 5 children. Despite her current challenging circumstances, she is not giving up and instead, working very hard towards financial independence and wanting to give her children the very best in life!
