More than a crowdfunding platform, we are here to build a community.

Our Commitment to Community Building

Giving support doesn’t always begin or end with a donation. Sometimes, it means creating safe spaces where individuals can connect, share their experiences, and find a sense of belonging.

That’s why we host community events like The Iftar Project or Building Community Champions where clients can become volunteers and give back in their own ways.

Our vision is to build a stronger and more inclusive Singapore where everyone feels empowered.

"It always warms my heart when I see the smiles on the beneficiaries’ faces. This being a constant reminder to myself of how simple acts of kindness and spending time with them can bring so much joy to these individuals. Volunteering with Ray of Hope has provided several opportunities for me to give back to the community and always leaves me with a sense of gratitude towards all that I have and am blessed with. Thank you, Ray of Hope, for creating such opportunities for me."

~Shereen, Ray of Hope Partner and Volunteer

The Iftar Project

"Ray of Hope has been my family's go-to charity to support the community around us. The ROH team has provided opportunities for us to know other families through sharing Iftar meals, deliver meals to families to celebrate festivities, and play sports with migrant brothers.

It is a charity that goes the extra mile to curate meaningful and impactful events for volunteers and beneficiaries. Volunteering with RoH has become a regular event for my family, and I am sure everyone can find their place of comfort and purpose at RoH."

~Tai Chong, Ray of Hope Partner and Volunteer

The Iftar Project

Started in 2021, the Iftar Project is all about connecting diverse communities through conversation and shared experiences. By hosting buka puasa (breaking fast) dinners, our client volunteers create a welcoming space where everyone feels included and respected.

Families

This year, 58 volunteers joined 15 families for these special gatherings, sharing stories, laughter, and warmth. Some families, who have been part of the project for three years, even hosted dinners independently, showcasing the project's impact on empowering our clients.

As we continue, the Iftar Project remains a beacon of unity and community spirit, embodying Ray of Hope’s mission to foster kinship, camaraderie, and connectedness.
