Siti is a mother to five young children aged 7, 5, 3, 1 and a 1-month-old. While her three older children go to school, Siti is caregiving her two younger children at home. As Siti is currently recuperating from her surgery, she is still unable to work until she gets better. Recently, she was hospitalised due to postpartum hemorrhage and was advised to recuperate at home. 

As a single parent, Siti wants to work and be financially independent. However, she is worried about her health and the well-being of her children. Siti is currently staying at a relative’s place; this is a temporary arrangement until Siti’s health improves. 

Ray of Hope is fundraising $1,500 ($300 x 5 months) to help Siti with her children’s milk and diapers as she tides over this difficult period.

After filing for a divorce against her ex-husband, the caregiving duties for Siti’s five young children have fallen solely onto her shoulders. She recounted his acts of abuse including allegedly throwing cooked rice at her and physically abusing their children. To protect her children, she filed for a divorce and hoped to start fresh. Siti’s ex-husband, who has been in and out of prison, has not provided any form of emotional or maintenance support to her for their children.

Prior to her last pregnancy, Siti was working as a Guest Service Agent but had to leave the job as she had trouble finding caregiving arrangements for her children and she was 3 months pregnant. Due to the loss of income during those months, she had to be very frugal with their expenditures and incurred a few debts since. Her four youngest children are still on milk and diapers.  

Recently, Siti was hospitalised due to postpartum hemorrhage and was advised to recuperate at home as much as she can. Siti has expressed that she is worried about not being able to fully provide for her children. Your donations will help lighten the family’s financial burden while Siti recuperates!
