Today, an increasing number of youths are struggling with their mental health and yet afraid to come forward to receive support. Why? Because the stigma of being associated or identified as a person with a mental health condition could hamper their progression and adaptability in different life stages such as education, career, or relationships with their loved ones.
Resilience Collective (RC) welcomes youths, 18 – 35 years old to come forward to find support, and you don’t have to struggle alone. On the other hand, you can do your part by inviting a youth that you know to seek support. RC strives to provide a safe space for a community of peers to grow together through our peer support group, Circles of Resilience (CR).
In these CRs, peers come together to learn support strategies and provide support to one another by journeying together. We seek to raise funds to support our efforts to help grow the community, implement meaningful peer support programmes and initiatives, and develop holistic support resources together. This will enable us to extend our reach and provide peer support to more youths and remove barriers impeding early help-seeking interventions.
Each of us can do our part because showcasing the value and importance of mental health support starts with you!
