For much of her life, Belinda inspired others to find their voice. As a lecturer in mass communications and a trainer in public speaking and creative writing, she guided countless students to express themselves with confidence.

In October 2023, Belinda was diagnosed with cancer. The months that followed were filled with treatment that left her drained, but by June this year she was finally cleared. It felt like she could start looking ahead again.

She was keen to return to teaching media, drawing on her years of experience. But in July, on her way home, she fell and fractured her shoulder — another setback just as she was finding her footing.
