WHEN CARE BECOMES THE LONG ROAD

Every child should be able to access appropriate care when their body needs help.

For some families, care is not resolved through a single diagnosis or hospital visit. It unfolds over time. Months of appointments. Ongoing therapy. Medication that must be taken consistently. Follow-up procedures that, together, help a child function better and live more comfortably day to day.

Medical needs follow their own timeline. Some families find themselves adjusting care—spacing out therapy, delaying follow-ups, prioritising what feels most immediate over what was medically advised. These adjustments are rarely visible, but they shape a child’s progress and quality of life.

This fund exists to respond at that point.

It helps reduce the financial pressure that can interfere with a child’s recommended course of care. It supports continuity so treatment plans can be followed as intended, and families are not forced to manage gaps in care on their own.

HOW WILL THE FUNDS BE USED:

This fund is about ensuring that care does not stop halfway, and that families can sustain what their child needs. Donations will be directed towards:

🟠 Therapy and rehabilitation that support daily functioning
🟠 Medication and essential medical equipment
🟠 Ongoing healthcare needs that meaningfully improve a child’s quality of life

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

🟠 Children below the age of 18
🟠 Children who require medical treatment or ongoing therapy
🟠 Families facing financial difficulty in sustaining these medical needs
🟠 Cases where medical treatment or therapy is not covered, or not sufficiently covered by existing subsidies, insurance policies, or assistance schemes.
