Mr Francis works with Project HOPE in Operation Mobilisation which operates in the community of Kasama, Zambia. Kasama experiences high poverty levels, HIV/AIDS, and malnutrition due to hunger. There are many street children, and a high number of orphans. In existence are poor quality of education for orphans, child abuse and neglect, and no source of income for widows.
Mr Francis operates a school called Saikolo Community school with an enrolment of more than 600 orphans and vulnerable children who could have been left abandoned on the streets or involving themselves in illicit behaviour and girls being married off at very young age. Because Saikolo community school enrols orphans and vulnerable children who are malnourished due to food shortages at home, they implement a feeding programme at the school as well. There is no permanent classroom infrastructure at Saikolo community school. Currently the children learn from a makeshift classroom.
Financial Breakdown

US$3,000 would be used to build the school classrooms. The final $290 is to help Mr Francis with his wedding costs. As a charity worker who has dedicated his life to helping others, Ray of Hope would like to help Mr Francis celebrate his union in matrimony and love.Â
