Ms Josephine works with Operation Mobilisation in Kolkata, India. There she has seen many women suffer through the trafficking trade and works to make their lives better. She also works together with a Social Business, Touch Nature, which is a ‘freedom business based in India that shows women a way out with employment opportunities through our natural soaps and candles.’

Ms Josephine requires assistance with transition funds for ladies to leave the red light district of Kolkata.

Financial breakdown

Ray of Hope would like to raise US$1,800 (S$2,430) to help 3 ladies through Ms Josephine. $1,200 is for a transition fund for 2 ladies for 3 months ($200 per person per month). The additional $600 is to support one of Touch Nature’s workers. He husband recently lost his job and has been diagnosed with Liver TB, Jaundice and HIV. The $600 will go towards his medical expenses.
