The A-Os are turning 50 and we’d love to celebrate this with YOU! 

This February and March, we’re hitting a major milestone — the big 5-0! And we’d like to mark the occasion in a meaningful way, by raising $50,000 for Ray of Hope.

We’ve been so blessed to have friends and loved ones who’ve given so much meaning and colour to our lives. We are grateful for YOU and the many great origin stories of our respective relationships. We’ve known some of you our entire lives (Cousins! Primary school mates!) and some others in recent years, and each one of you is special to us.

Let’s take time to properly catch up over coffee or a lively meal, on us! At the same time, we invite you to join us in supporting a cause that matters deeply to us.

Why Ray of Hope?

We both know the organisation well — Stefan as a volunteer and Alicia as someone who lives and breathes it. Ray of Hope is a unique crowdfunding charity that helps people who have fallen through the cracks. 

Many Ray of Hope clients are not eligible for assistance from other organisations, because they have low social capital, are too young to seek support or have no voting rights. Very often, Ray of Hope is their last line of defense and provides a beacon of hope.

Here’s the Challenge:

Ray of Hope operates differently from most charities — 100% of donations on its crowdfunding platform goes directly to beneficiaries. 

That means: while every dollar raised helps someone in need, it’s incredibly hard to fundraise for the very people doing this life-changing work — the caseworkers, the team running the platform, the outreach and community-building efforts that make the work possible.

That’s why we’re stepping in. Our birthday campaign will raise funds to ensure Ray of Hope can continue its vital work, so that every person who needs help gets the support they deserve.

Your donation will support:

✅ Stateless individuals with no safety net

✅ People with special needs and their families

✅ Isolated seniors struggling alone

✅ Ex-offenders trying to rebuild their lives
