As a philanthropic entity which funds charities, social enterprises and ground up projects and initiatives, BinjaiTree hopes to be able to provide more support as a result of this matching grant. BinjaiTree hopes to enlarge the positive impact on the different initiatives that it supports. As BinjaiTree also provides seed-funding for young charities and social enterprises; supporting lesser known causes – this helps to encourage creativity, innovation and purposeful programmes that fill gaps in society.

This fundraising project seeks to multiply BinjaiTree’s giving, allowing more initiatives such as social impact and social funding mechanisms, the arts and culture, education, mental health and social services to benefit. This fundraising effort will be done via an online campaign through Ray of Hope and also through personal requests for donations by the Directors of BinjaiTree to their friends and family, as well as through the direct donations of the Directors of BinjaiTree itself. For this purpose, BinjaiTree will also be receiving donations via cheque. There will not be any venue nor “event” per se.
