Name: Mr Gan Boon Leong (75 years old)
Brief background: Mr Gan was paralysed from his waist down more than 50 years ago as a result of an operation on his spine. He requires a wheelchair to move around and uses a urinary catheter, and his wife Ah Huay has limited mobility due to polio. Despite these challenges, the elderly couple strives to live independently in their HDB flat. Mr Gan is no longer employed due to his age (75 years old).
