The Struggle
ROHI used to help Mdm Evon a while back to raise funds as she reunifies with her daughter.
Right now, Mdm Evon needs your help again! Mdm Evon has recently reunified with her daughter but things aren’t going exactly the smoothest. After all, it wasn’t easy communicating with each other since they were separated for so long. On top of that, Mdm Evon’s second child will also be reunifying with her by the end of this year. With her husband incarcerated recently, the helpless mum hopes to be able to provide for her children and finally be able to give them a place they can call home. Mdm Evon is also currently pregnant with her fourth child and is worried about going forward.
Help Needed – Give Hope
When we met Mdm Evon for the very first time earlier in the year, she was living in a one-room rental flat and had hopes of moving into her BTO flat and reunifying with a daughter. She was excited about a new beginning and wanted a conducive environment for her daughter to live and study in. Fast forward today, due to limited finances, the house was simply furnished with the bare minimum. Her 13-year-old daughter sleeps on a thin mattress and does not have a study table. Mdm Evon told us that because of that, her daughter was reluctant to invite her friends over as she was ashamed of letting them see the state that she lives in. The family also does not have a stove for cooking and could not afford the renovation works of a kitchen. Because of financial issues, the mother and daughter often quarrel and eventually developed a strained relationship.
Mdm Evon only has herself to rely on now that her husband is incarcerated. With only her income working as a customer service officer, the family barely has enough after paying off all the arrears.
Financial Breakdown
Thus, ROHI would like to help give hope to Mdm Evon and her 13-year-old daughter. Your $50 will help support her daughter’s one week of pocket money allowance, and your $200 will help support her daughter for a month. ROHI is helping to raise $800 ($200 x 4 months) for Ms Evon and her daughter.
*Mdm Evon is not receiving any public assistance support as of now.
