Dear friends,
Giving back within our means is something that I truly believe in. Being in the social service space marked the start of an amazing journey – one that I have never imagined myself embarking on. I was always full of admiration for the selfless givings of those social workers who stood unafraid to be on the frontline, ever ready to serve those in need.
And then the question to myself was, “Can I ever be like them one day”.
And before I knew it, here I am, greatly humbled to be able to make a difference to the people within my own community. Often those I was afraid of reaching out, not because I can’t, but because I did not know how much can I do for them. I like how people say that once you become grateful for the things that you can do for someone, you begin to lose sight of the things you lack.
For my 31st birthday this year, I would like to help 31 individuals and families who are struggling to make ends meet. I would like to raise $2,380 to give these recipients a groceries pack to defray their expenses.
As a sponsor, you can adopt an unlimited number of families. You are also strongly encouraged to deliver the groceries directly to the adopted family/families.
Allocation of amount for each family:
– $50 packs will go to families with up to 2 pax
– $80 packs will go to families with up to 4 pax
– $100 packs will go to families with 5 or more pax
Every giving can give hope to someone in need!
With love,
Eileen
