Rahimah works as a part‑time relief security officer, working three days per week. In December 2025, she was incarcerated from 2 December to 20 December (four weeks).
Her incarceration was related to signing documents for a domestic helper at the request of a friend. The helper was not employed by Rahimah, and when MOM discovered the discrepancy, she was charged.
Rahimah appealed for leniency and requested that the case not be postponed, as a longer sentence (5–6 weeks) would result in her security licence being revoked, affecting her ability to work and support her family. She explained her situation to the court, and the judge granted a reduced sentence of four weeks.

She plans to go back to full time and eventually wants her own HDB.

I have since directed them to the CC as well as to the MPS for further assistance. I have been checking in with them weekly.

•     In the first week, they were unable to go as the granddaughter was unwell and needed care.
•     Rahimah also shared that Munirah was afraid to approach the agencies on her own and preferred Rahimah to accompany her. However, Rahimah had work commitments, as she is the main income provider for the family.

Munirah was supposed to start work on 10 March, but her manager was overseas. She is expected to begin either this week or next week. Although she has secured a job, she has not started yet and therefore has no income coming in at the moment.

This emergency fund will help the family manage their immediate needs for milk and diapers during this transition period.
