Thanks to your support for Ray of Hope’s Farm Packs for a Cause campaign, low-income households have access to locally grown, farm fresh produce. The monthly collection at Sembawang West Constituency Office was held on 27th December 2023, and 30 farm packs were given out to the families. 

We’re happy to share that 30 bags of farm fresh produce were distributed on 29 November 2023, coordinated by Sembawang West Constituency Office. Thank you for your continued support for our Farm Packs for a Cause campaign, which aims to bring healthy, locally grown produce to underserved families.

Dear Donors, we are pleased to inform that 30 farm packs were distributed to families on 11 November. Thanks to the People’s Association’s Zhenghua Constituency Office for coordinating the collection and distribution of farm packs!

We are grateful for your ongoing support for the Farm Packs for a Cause campaign, which sends locally grown, farm fresh produce to low-income families in the community.

Please note that, as of 30 October 2023, the quail eggs will be replaced by mushrooms:

02 trays of farmed hen eggs (10 eggs per tray)
04 packs of fresh, leafy vegetables (250g per pack)
01 pack of mushroom (120g per pack)
01 pack of nutritious pea sprouts (200g per pack)
01 pack of 2kg low GI rice

Some updates from Ray of Hope’s community partners!

In September, Tak Takut Kids’ Club (which serves the rental block community in Boon Lay) coordinated the distribution of farm packs within the neighbourhood. Concurrently, TTKC ran an awareness campaign: “Eggs are one of the most accessible, nutritious and DELICIOUS food that are appealing to children. In 3Pumpkins’ research with 60 children earlier in the year, we were shocked to find out that many children interviewed at TTKC are not taking breakfast nor do eggs feature strongly in their daily diet. To enable children and families to make better food choices, the TTKC children community health programme ‘Better Eat Better’ has been focused on cultivating the knowledge and skills to make egg dishes.  This collaboration between 3Pumpkins, Ray of Hope and The Local Farm’s “Farmpark for a Cause” campaign has provided fresh food to support this community health programme. We hope to this will continue to ignite positive lifestyle change!”

On 25 October, the People’s Association’s Sembawang West Constituency Office coordinated the collection of 3o farm packs by eligible families.

Thank you for your continued support for our farm packs for families campaign!

Last Saturday, Ray of Hope’s social impact partner 3Pumpkins (Tak Takut Kids Club) mobilised TTKC kids to help with last mile deliveries to 30 households in their Boon Lay neighbourhood. We hope to continue sending the farm packs and creating opportunities for the whole community to pitch in on a sustained, monthly basis.

Molten Steel Pte Ltd’s donation of $1,500 enabled 30 families to receive farm fresh produce on 1 July!

The packing and distribution was organised by People’s Association Sembawang West Constituency Office.
