She had a stroke more than 20 years ago, resulting in the left side of her body being paralysed. She is also prone to falls and is dependent on a wheelchair.
Social Isolation
Mdm Kam attends day care every day and she is engaged with various activities. This has reduced her social isolation and keeps her meaningfully engaged. Her eldest sister who is her main caregiver is now less stressed as she has some time to rest during the day when Mdm Kam attends day care.
Financial breakdown
Ray of Hope would like to raise S$2,400 (S$100 x 24 months) to defray Mdm Kam Yoke Ling’s day care fees for 2 years.
* Mdm Kam and her siblings are receiving government financial assistance.
