Madam Tan is married, with 4 children and an elderly father. The family of 7 have been homeless since June 2016 and have been staying at a shelter since then. Over the past couple of years, Madam Tan and her husband have worked hard to sustain their jobs and save some money. They have finally been approved for a third housing loan and have bought a three-room resale flat. The family has financial difficulty to afford the basic renovation costs.
