Mr E. Koh runs a charity in Singapore which befriends marginalised women and men at risk, specifically streetwalkers and pimps working in the red-light district in Singapore. Some of them are compelled to work in the prostitution trade due to unfortunate economic circumstances, exploitation, unhealthy social influences and life choices, resulting in detriment to their health and psychological well-being.

We would like to request for a transition fund to help 5 streetwalkers and pimps gain a new lease of life by leaving the prostitution trade and finding new employment in a more mainstream vocation which helps them improve their health and mental well-being. This transition fund will help them tide over the period of unemployment while looking for a new job.

Financial breakdown

Ray of Hope would like to raise $7950 to for the transition fund for 3 months for the 5 streetwalkers. This will cover their food, transport, rent/utilities and medical costs for 3 months. 

Food – $200 per pax per month

Transport – $130 per pax per month

Medical costs – $100 per pax per month

Rent/ Utilities – $500 for all 5 people per month
