We are a team of 4 students, passionate about helping the community and galvanising other
youth to play a part in serving as well. All of us have had backgrounds serving in different
projects and have experience with running sessions and managing volunteers.

About Huat Buddies

HuatBuddies is a youth initiated project which aims to serve isolated seniors in our community. We are dedicated to supporting the well-being of elderly throughout Singapore by consistently engaging seniors, fostering connections and creating a sense of community allowing them to remain socially connected, mentally stimulated, and emotionally supported, bringing vibrancy to their lives. This will be achieved through facilitating and organising weekly mahjong/rummikub sessions, engaging them through various games and conversations at centres across Singapore. Relationship building between the youth and seniors remains a core objective of our project, as we aim to improve the mental health of the elderly.

100% of your donations through Ray of Hope goes to people in need. We do not take a cut from the funds. We even cover the 3rd party credit card charges, if you choose not to, that other crowdfunding platforms deduct from your donation for campaigns.

100% of all campaigns are also fully verified, so you know your funds goes to real people with real needs.

We take donor accountability very seriously – with yearly audited accounts and strong governance in place to ensure that your donations is properly channeled to the beneficiaries.
