Journey Asia in Singapore (‘Journey Singapore’) is a community-based, Christ-centred discipleship ministry that exists to help people find hope and live life through experiencing Jesus in their relationships and sexuality.

Christians come seeking help for depression, the effects of abuse, bitterness, sexual addictions, emotional over-dependence, struggles with self-identified unwanted same-sex attraction.

WHAT WE DO

Walking with people in their struggles in discipleship programs ranging in length from 6 weeks to 4 months, involving Worship + Teaching + Prayer in Safe Small Groups.

Leadership Training and Seminars to care for pastors and Christian leaders and equip them to care for people with relational and sexual struggles in their churches.

Journey Singapore is part of Journey Global, a network of ministries based around the world. Mission agency X-pact Society (www.xpact.org) offers administrative and prayer coverage for Journey locally.

Target Amount: $9360

Journey Singapore is funded by gifts from local individuals and churches, many of whom have experienced one or another of Journey’s programs. I am trying to raise this amount for two reasons. Firstly, I am pregnant and will give birth in January, God-willing! I hope to take 4 months of maternity leave so that I can concentrate on being with my child for the first while. So I am trying to raise my salary for the maternity leave period. 

Secondly, Journey Singapore is metamorphosizing! We are hoping to move into the new year of 2020 with an Operational Board that will test-drive a shift from the current one (wo)man leadership model to a group of people leading Journey together. This money will encourage and support the work of the fledging Op Board.
