It’s not only about the awareness of mental health, it’s more about normalizing the awareness of mental health. Especially in a world where mental disorders are sometimes seen as a weakness it is so important to talk openly about it to reduce the misconceptions and stigma. Means we have to encourage those who are suffering to seek help and find a support network AND to give all caregivers, friends and loved ones the awareness to understand the impact that mental health has on daily life!Â
Hi! I am Lea 27 y/o – Using my little red Canyon road bike hitting kilometers brought me not only places, but it also helps me to compensate for stress, anxiety and downdrafts. Whether it is the wind which blows away all the sorrows in myÂ
head, the release of dopamine or the community and people which gives me the slipstream I need. And that’s what it is all about: Sometimes you are the one having a good day and people enjoy your wind shadow and sometimes you need the help and support of the others. But at the end of each ride, everyone will reach the same hawker center for breakfast- and some people will be a little bit stronger – physically and also mentally.Â
So let’s check on each other and make sure that everyone is reaching the set destination. Leaving people behind is not cool – Neither at a cycling tour nor in normal life.Â

About Mental Health Film Festival Singapore
MHFFS is a registered charity that conducts outreach events to raise awareness for people in Singapore to provide an inclusive and safe platform for stories about mental health. Through these programmes we hope to encourage early help- seeking. We have run 3 Mental Health Film Festivals, an inaugural roadshow in 2023, satellite events with various schools, corporates and community clubs and 3 Short Film Youth Competitions.
This year, MHFFS wants to utilize sports and engaging activities to create an informal environment that encourages open interaction and communication, fostering an atmosphere conducive to discussing mental health, a key pillar to what we do as an organization. By embracing physical activity, we aim to foster a community that supports mental wellness while challenging the negative perceptions associated with mental health.
With your support, we believe a little goes a long way in making a difference in the mental health landscape.
