46-year-old Mr Sara has a wish of supporting his 18-year-old daughter through her tertiary education. When he was incarcerated, Mr Sara’s wife had to take on the role of the primary caregiver and provider of their daughter with a monthly nett income of $1,600.

Prior to his incarceration, Mr Sara was working as a driver cum courier. Currently emplaced in the halfway house, he is well-supported by his caseworkers. Hoping to change for his family, Mr Sara will be attending a job interview in the second week of October. He hopes to co-support his daughter to lighten the financial burden of his wife.

Despite the family’s financial constraints, Mr Sara recognises the importance of keeping his daughter in school and ensuring that she completes her studies.

“My family is my greatest motivation. I want to have a stable job to support my daughter in completing her studies.”, Mr Sara told the case workers.
