The New Horizon Fund aims to address this current gap and propel these new start-up teams to long term success and scale their proven solutions.Â
The New Horizon Fund has 3 key features:
- Capital Support
The Fund will provide unrestricted funding to incubate promising ground-up activators and non-profits, up to $150,000 each over 3 years. This will enable them to focus on organisational development, and also create space for innovation & creativity.
- Capacity Building
To equip all grantees with the best tools to succeed, TMT will engage them in 3 ways to build capacity:
(i) Diagnosis & Scoping: identifying key problem statements with user-centric needs-based assessment frameworks and organisational needs-based assessment, including strengths and weaknesses
(ii) Strategic Assistance: provide masterclasses and resource persons with expertise in organisational development, technology, governance, finances, storytelling, visioning and growth strategy
(iii) Impact Evaluation: help grantees achieve evidence-based and data-driven programming through understanding assessing and tracking metrics
- Community Building
To build a community of like-minded stakeholders that can leverage on each others’ resources and expertise for collaboration, TMT will offer:
(i) Networking opportunities with other teams, funders, potential partners, beneficiaries
(ii) Mentorship opportunities with established teams and sector experts
(iii) Co-working space to selected grantee partners at TMT’s office in Gateway.
