What happened to Shun?
Shun was caught for drug consumption in 2022. It landed him in prison with a sentence of 1 year in prison and 18 months in the halfway house.
Prior to his incarceration, Shun was helping out at his 74 year-old mother’s food stall. With his newly obtained Advanced Certificate in Culinary, he hopes to eventually take over the stall so that his 74 year-old mother can retire.
As Shun serves the last leg of his sentence in the halfway house, he often thinks about his son and how he looks forward to spending time with him every weekend. He wants to work towards becoming the pillar of strength to his teenage son.

As he continues to navigate through the challenges of reintegrating into the society, Shun is constantly reminded of the time lost due to his incarceration and this often brings about a complex mix of emotions, including regret, frustration, and sadness.
Nonetheless, he wishes to start afresh as he has a lot to look forward to and wants to become someone that both his mother and son can count on.
Shun shared: “I’m happy my son still loves me. I want to achieve something for him. I don’t want him to feel lonely anymore.”
