Deadline: 30 April 2026

On most days, Nilam balances classes with part-time work where possible, doing her best to keep up with both school and family responsibilities.

Now, as she continues her diploma and prepares for the year ahead, Nilam is at risk of losing her place in school.

Nilam has received a final notice for outstanding fees that must be paid by 30 April 2026. If the amount is not settled, she will be deregistered and unable to continue her final semester.

After years of effort, her journey could be cut short at the very last stage.

A Family Doing Their Best

Nilam comes from a family of five who have been managing ongoing financial challenges.

Her father, Mr Razak, works long hours as a delivery rider despite living with a chronic heart condition. Her mother, who previously suffered a mild stroke, continues working while limiting medical follow-ups due to financial constraints.

As a family, they have consistently prioritised their children’s education. They have explored school appeals, arranged installment plans, borrowed from relatives, and encouraged part-time work where possible.

Nilam herself has taken on part-time jobs while studying to help ease the burden.

“Sometimes you don’t give up on your dreams,” Nilam shares. “You just do whatever you can to help your family first.”

Despite these efforts, the accumulated cost of tertiary education has become difficult for the family to sustain.

Why Your Support Matters Now

Nilam’s outstanding fees must be cleared by 30 April 2026 to avoid deregistration. Without support, she may not be able to complete her diploma despite being so close to graduation.

Completing her studies would allow Nilam to enter the workforce and contribute financially to her household, supporting her family’s path towards greater stability.

How the Funds Will Be Used

We are raising $2,069.15* to:

  • Pay Nilam’s outstanding school fees
  • Prevent deregistration
  • Enable her to continue her final semester
  • Support her in completing her diploma

How You Can Help

Nilam and her family have done their best to manage on their own.

Your support will help her stay in school and complete her diploma. With your support, she can complete what she started.

*The campaign goal includes a 1.8% payment processing fee.
