Mdm Zaleha* is only 32 years old, yet she is suffering from various chronic health issues. She has been suffering from debilitating and crippling depression since 2017. She has been unable to work due to her Major Depressive Disorder and she was recently diagnosed with Generalised Anxiety Disorder. Background
Mdm Zaleha* is only 32 years old, yet she is suffering from various chronic health issues. She has been suffering from debilitating and crippling depression since 2017. She has been unable to work due to her Major Depressive Disorder and she was recently diagnosed with Generalised Anxiety Disorder. She has also recently been suffering from severe migraine attacks and is prone to fainting spells. She has fainted trice at home and once outside. Mdm Zaleha is also undergoing further tests for suspected liver failure.
Mdm Zaleha has 5 children between the ages of 3 to 11 years old. Most of her children suffer from severe Asthma. Her second child who is 10 years old suffers from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and her third child who is 7 years old has shown symptoms of ADHD.
The Struggle
Life has been extremely difficult and challenging for Mdm Zaleha and her family. Her husband was working and had a steady income as a bellman. However, in August 2018, her husband suffered a workplace-related injury and suffered spinal injuries. He has since been unable to work and is currently attending physiotherapy.
Mdm Zaleha is trying her best to cope with her current difficult situation. Life has not been easy for her. Mdm Zaleha informs us that while she is tired of being sick, tired of being confined to her house, she is trying her best to raise her children and care for them. It has been extremely difficult for her as two of her children has ADHD and her husband is unable to walk well due to his spinal injuries. On some days, Mdm Zaleha struggles due to her debilitating mental illnesses.
Mdm Zaleha is receiving government financial assistance however, due to her many chronic illnesses and her severe migraines and fainting spells, she is required to travel to her many medical appointments via taxis. She walks with a walking stick and has fainted outside before. She struggles with her transportation costs and is mostly confined at home which has worsened her depression.
Help Needed – Give Hope
Ray of Hope would, therefore, like to raise S$600 (S$100 x 6 months) to defray Mdm Zaleha’s transport costs so that she may continue her medical treatments. Please give hope to Mdm Zaleha. She is mostly confined at home and due to her many chronic illnesses, she is required to undergo many medical appointments and tests.
