What if you could help someone build a better future?

A future can close quietly.

Not because someone has stopped trying, but because the cost of continuing becomes too much to carry.

School fees. Course materials. Transport to class. A training course. A job interview. The small, practical costs that help someone keep showing up can become impossible when a household is already stretched.

It might be a child at risk of falling behind because of school-related arrears. A young person who needs materials or transport to continue learning. Or someone rebuilding their life who is ready to work, but still needs help getting to the next opportunity.

For transnational families, the gap can be even harder to close when children who have grown up in Singapore may not receive the same subsidies or assistance as their peers. For ex-offenders re-entering society, even the cost of transport, grooming, or interview essentials can become another barrier before an opportunity has the chance to take hold.

Many education and upskilling campaigns come close to reaching their goal, but the remaining gap can be difficult to bridge. Helping close that final stretch can make a world of difference to someone’s ability to continue learning, access opportunities, and achieve better outcomes for their future.

The Education & Upskilling Hope Circle exists to help bridge that gap.

By supporting verified education and employment-related campaigns that need an extra push, your donation helps individuals continue learning, access training, prepare for work, and move towards a more stable future.

Whether you give once or monthly, you help keep education, skills, and opportunity within reach for the next person who needs it most.

1. What is the Education & Upskilling Hope Circle?
The Education & Upskilling Hope Circle supports verified campaigns involving education, training, skills development, and employment-related needs. This may include school fee arrears, course fees, learning needs, devices, transport, or other costs that affect a person’s ability to continue learning or build skills for work.

2. What will my donation be used for?
Your donation will help verified campaigns involving education, training, or skills-related needs. This may include overdue school fees, course fees, learning materials, devices, transport, or other costs that affect a person’s ability to continue learning or build skills for work.

3. How does Ray of Hope decide which campaigns receive support from this Hope Circle?
Ray of Hope reviews eligible verified campaigns based on the nature of the need, urgency, and the impact of the funding gap. Education campaigns may be considered with greater flexibility when unpaid fees place a student at immediate risk of suspension, being unable to sit for exams, or being unable to complete or progress in school. For upskilling cases, funding is assessed based on the client’s situation, the relevance of the course or training, and whether it can meaningfully improve their ability to earn, work, or build longer-term stability. Support is also guided by Ray of Hope’s Hope Circle policy and disbursement guidelines, so funds can be allocated responsibly across eligible campaigns within this cause area.

4. Can I give monthly to the Education & Upskilling Hope Circle?
Yes. Monthly giving helps keep education, skills, and opportunity within reach for future campaigns. It allows you to support education and upskilling needs regularly, even when you may not have a specific campaign in mind.

5. Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. Donations to the Education & Upskilling Hope Circle are tax-deductible

Where This Hope Circle Can Help

Some education and upskilling campaigns need an extra push when costs remain out of reach, support slows down, or a learner's next step is at risk. Your donation helps keep support ready for eligible campaigns that help people stay in school, continue training, and build a better future.

Keep Future Opportunities Within Reach

A one-time donation can help someone continue learning, access training, or take the next step towards work. A monthly donation keeps support ready for the next student, learner, or jobseeker who needs help moving forward. Every gift helps keep education, skills, and opportunity within reach.
