The Ray of Hope Patient Care Fund

*UPDATE Sep 2022*

We are pausing application for this fund as it was announced by the Ministry of Health that patients will continue to receive full subsidies for cancer treatment post Sep 2022. We’re heartened that patients will continue to receive the best patient care.

In the event where MOH changes it’s policy, we will be ready to restart the patient care fund to make sure patients do not fall through the cracks.

—

In adult blood cancer patients whose conditions are under control and are regularly assessed by their doctors, continuing with the same effective treatment as basic standard of care is often necessary.

The Patient Care Fund is a partnership between Ray of Hope [ROH] and Johnson & Johnson International (Singapore) Pte Ltd to provide partial financial assistance (up to $1600/month) to eligible adult blood cancer patients who are affected by the national cancer policy changes from 1 September 2022. This is to ensure that eligible patients who have financial constraints can continue on their treatments.

Eligibility and next steps

  • Existing adult blood cancer patients who have been taking daratumumab or ibrutinib as per product label in public hospitals
  • Have undergone medical eligibility assessment by a doctor. Please download this form for the doctor to fill in
  • Have undergone financial means testing by a hospital medical social worker or ROH
  • Medical social worker or patient can apply at ROH portal @ https://www.rayofhope.sg/patientcarefund/
  • ROH will assess each application & determine subsidy amount (up to $1600/month) on a case-by-case basis
  • If approved, the subsidy is applicable for 3 months; re-application is required if patients continue to be on therapy
  • Subsidy will cease when patients are no longer on therapy
