Background
Mr Ram*, 47 years old, is currently serving the remaining part of his sentence at a halfway house due to narcotics offences. He is a father to two teenage sons aged 13 and 18 years old. His wife, 44 years old, is the current breadwinner.
When we met Mr Ram, he spoke of his deep regret and is currently working hard towards turning over a new leaf for his family. Our case managers recently met Mr Ram. He informs us that his mother in law has been discharged from the hospital and is currently staying at his house. She is currently extremely weak and is being looked after by his wife and two sons. He is still in the midst of finding employment and hopes……
