Mdm Devi: A Mother’s Love and Determination in Difficult Times

Mdm Devi is a devoted parent, caring for her two teenage sons amidst challenging circumstances. While their father occasionally visits and provides small allowances for the boys, he remains largely absent in their lives, offering no consistent financial support. Unfortunately, Mdm Devi’s battle with chronic asthma has made it difficult for her to work consistently. In 2022, she attempted to maintain her job, but the air conditioning at her workplace triggered severe asthma attacks. At present, she has been certified permanently unfit for work.

To stretch their limited resources, Mdm Devi and her boys have developed practical solutions for their meals. They often cook together, preparing large portions and freezing them for future meals, ensuring nourishment without straining their budget.

At Risk Of Losing Their Home 

Despite Mdm Devi’s efforts, the family’s financial situation remains precarious. Mounting bills have placed them at risk of losing their home. Ray of Hope is raising $2,673 ($891/month) to provide the family with a temporary lifeline for the next three months, giving Mdm Devi a much-needed sense of security. This will cover rent, service and conservancy charges, utilities, and groceries.
