As residents of Queenstown, we have been deeply saddened by the tragic incident that took place in Lengkok Bahru. Our hearts go out to the family who have lost their loved one, and to everyone in the community who has been affected.

In difficult moments like these, one of the greatest strengths of our community is our willingness to stand together and support one another. While government agencies and community partners have stepped forward to assist the family with immediate needs, we hope to do our part by rallying residents and friends of Queenstown to show that they are not alone.

This fundraiser is organised by residents of Queenstown to support the victim’s family as they navigate the difficult days and months ahead. We hope the funds raised will help ease the financial burden arising from this tragedy, including unforeseen expenses as the family adjusts to the loss of a loved one.

Since the incident, the Queenstown grassroots team has been working closely with the family, relevant government agencies and community partners to coordinate support. Beyond assisting with immediate arrangements, they continue to journey alongside the family and connect them with the help they need. 

A group of social service agencies is working together to support the family and ensure that the funds raised will go towards their most urgent needs. 

Ray of Hope will work with these agencies to ensure an accountable and transparent disbursement process.
