Hello friend,
This is Yinzhou & Aleena.
As we look back on the past year together, we cannot but see the unmistakable hand of God and the grace we’ve received through the ups and downs in our lives. It is with this deep sense of thankfulness that instead of receiving any gifts, we wish to pass on a little something back – through a small birthday fundraising campaign.
One particular campaign that have struck a chord in our hearts was that of Mr Soh, who is the sole caregiver to his wife Mdm Hou after the couple met with a serious traffic accident. Mdm Hou suffered brain damage and is now permanently disabled.
The physical and emotional task of care can be burdensome with no end in sight.
Since Mdm Hou was admitted into the nursing home more than 2 years ago, Mr Soh had been travelling to and fro each day to visit and care for her without fail.
Mdm Hou has recently been brought home to stay for good by Mr Soh, but he remains dedicated in caring for her despite himself suffering from significant cognitive impairment affecting his memory and brain after the accident.
Both Yinzhou and I were deeply moved by the unwavering devotion Mr Soh has for his wife throughout the ordeal. We too, have in various ways, also caught glimpses of the demands and challenges in caregiving and we hope to do what little we can to support this couple.
We hope that alleviating outstanding financial burdens will bring some respite for Mr Soh, and encourage the couple to persevere in this journey. Thank you for choosing to support the Soh couple together with us!
With Love,
Yinzhou & Aleena
