A young family in distress
Firdaus, 25, and Maria, 20, are devoted parents to their three-year-old daughter, Ada, and their premature newborn, Aiman. Aiman, born 7 weeks premature on April 26, 2024, required immediate care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for several months. This young family is facing financial strain despite government assistance and community support. Firdaus’ income has been impacted by daily trips to the hospital to deliver breast milk to Aiman, while also caring for Maria, who has been medically unfit for work due to anxiety and depression.
Give baby Aiman a fresh start
Ray of Hope is raising $3,600 to support the family with living expenses over the next 6 months. Your contribution will help cover the children’s milk and diapers costs, as well as medical care and transportation expenses for Aiman’s follow-up.
Help this young couple become the parents they dream to be, to their 3-year-old and preemie
Prior to Ada’s birth, both Firdaus and Maria were working. However, after Ada’s birth, Maria experienced panic attacks and severe depression, rendering her unfit for work. Despite this, she remained determined to provide the best care for Ada while focusing on her recovery. Just as the family was finding their footing, Aiman’s early arrival and health complications threw them into turmoil once again.
Aiman faced challenges with his left eye development, breathing, and swallowing, requiring a feeding tube to meet his nutritional needs. After two challenging months in the NICU, Aiman has stabilized enough to go home. However, he requires close monitoring and special care, as he is still slowly gaining the ability to take in milk from a bottle and is more susceptible to illnesses due to his premature birth.
Firdaus and Maria need support to provide for their two young children while recovering their financial stability. Your contribution, regardless of size, will make a meaningful impact on this family’s journey. Let’s come together as a community to uplift Firdaus and Maria during this challenging time.
