Mr Elyas lives in a 1 room rental flat with his wife and 4 children. His older two children are attending ITE (aged 18 and 20), while his younger two children are just 2 and 3 years old. Elyas’ wife is a full time housewife as she is the primary caregiver for the younger two children and for Mr Elyas who is medically unfit for work.

Mr Elyas suffers from Lupus, Liver Cirrhosis, an overactive bladder and nerve breakdown. He also has heart problems and has 2 to 3 appointments with his doctors weekly. Elyas has been declared unfit for work until October 2020 when his condition will be reviewed again.

Prior to his condition, Elyas used to work as a teaching assistant. His wife was also working as a SATS customer service officer before they had the younger 2 children. HIs wife will be looking for employment once their youngest child starts pre-school. Their support from SSO ended in April 2020 and they are reapplying for additional support.

Ray of Hope would like to Raise $2,400 to help Elyas and his family for 6 months. $600 a month will help them with their living expenses.
