The 46 year-old has been working in Singapore since 2001, and has enjoyed working here. It is only in the last 4 years that he had changed a few employers due to delayed salary payment or owed salary by an employer. In his last employment in 2022, he was unfairly terminated by his employer within 2 months.
Ganapathy is making a salary claim and unfair termination against his current employer, and when he refused to sign his termination letter, he was punched in the chest by his employer in August.
“No income means I cannot support my family, and I am under a lot of stress due to salary loss. But I just want to be treated fairly.” shared Ganapathy.
With no income to support his family, the father of three worries about the family’s financial situation. Ganapathy is also supporting two of his elder siblings. His 60 year-old sister, who is a divorcee, has health issues, and his 56 year-old widowed brother with two school-going children, was injured while handling farm equipment.
