Mdm Zahriyyatun and her husband are struggling due to their medical conditions

Life has been an uphill struggle for Mdm Zahriyyatun since was diagnosed with multiple chronic ailments when she was young. The 31 year old suffers from heart issues, asthma, urinary problems and frequently experiences severe dizzy spells.  She was also recently suspected of thyroid and will be undergoing further tests in the next few months.

Despite her young age, Mdm Zahriyyatun is unable to seek employment as she is constantly feeling unwell and is frequently required to go for medical appointments. Her husband, who held delivery jobs previously, was certified her main caregiver, as she has a long history of collapsing at home while doing housework. With his wife’s mental health condition deteriorating, he worries deeply about the finances at home now that he is unable to work due to his caregiving duties. Over the past few months, his asthma has also worsened since a severe attack in May this year.

Financial Breakdown

Ray of Hope would like to raise $2,000 ($400 x 5 months) to defray Mdm Zahriyyatun’s expenses for groceries and her medical needs which are not covered by Medisave and needs to be paid via cash upfront.

*Mdm Zahriyyatun’s public assistance will be ending in Dec 2019.
