Mdm Haslinda and her family are struggling to get through the current Covid-19 period.
She works as part-time at the student care and earns $8/hour. Her husband works as a private hire driver, but a huge part of the money he brings home go towards covering his car expenses and the rest is used for his own living expenses. As such, the responsibility of supporting their children falls on the shoulders of Mdm Haslinda who is struggling with health issues. Recent health checks have shown that she needs to go for further checks for pulmonary tuberculosis and an irregular mass found in her left kidney. As the sole caregiver to her children, Mdm Haslinda is deeply worried about making ends meet now that she is not in the best state of health.
Mdm Haslinda has three children from her previous marriage and a fourth child with her current husband. Her eldest son works part-time to take care of his expenses after completing National Service. Her second son is under her ex-husband’s custody and her daughter attends Primary School. Her youngest son is only attending childcare. Their bank loans are still piling up and the Covid-19 situation is making Mdm Haslinda’s job hunt for permanent employment more challenging.
Ray of Hope would like to raise $2,880 for Mdm Haslinda and and her family for 6 months to tide over this difficult time. This will assist them with their living expenses and allow for Mdm Haslinda to find stable employment once our Covid-19 situation in Singapore improves.
