Ray of Hope ran a Hong Bao for Hope campaign and raised more than $10,000 for 30 families and individuals so that they may celebrate CNY with dignity, pride and joy. Mr Lee’s family was one of the identified recipients of the campaign and we met them recently for their cheque disbursement. Mr Lee updated that he has since renewed his SSO assistance, and the funds raised are useful for their groceries expenses while their renewal is being processed. To help the family further, the case workers have also referred their family to the Red Cross Food Ration Programme for a 6-month assistance for their groceries.
