For over a decade, this small rental flat has been home to Mdm Nisha and her family. Despite their best efforts to make the space livable, they continue to struggle with limited storage, inadequate sleeping arrangements, and a lack of a proper study area for Muzammil. With no financial support from her husband, who frequently returns to India to care for his ailing father, and her own health limiting her ability to work full-time, this family needs our help.

The Struggles They Face

Mdm Nisha endures nights on a thin sofa bed due to swelling in her legs, but this inadequate support only worsens her persistent back pain. Muzammil sleeps on the floor, affecting both his comfort and developing posture. When present, his father also suffers from back pain caused by the poor sleeping conditions, creating a household where restful sleep is a luxury none can afford.

Muzammil, a dedicated student and proud NPCC member, is forced to study on the floor, causing constant discomfort and developing back pain at his young age. Without a quiet, well-lit study space, he struggles to concentrate, especially during crucial exam periods.

The family also lacks proper space for storing clothes and household items, resulting in a perpetually cluttered living environment despite their best efforts. They’ve creatively used cabinets and curtains to create separate areas, but rental restrictions prevent them from making the significant improvements their space desperately needs. Even simple joys like hosting guests have become challenging due to the lack of space and proper furniture, limiting their social connections.

Their Dream for a Better Home

The family’s priority is to provide a conducive living space for Muzammil so he can focus on his studies and achieve his dream of becoming a police inspector.
