Suffering from Tinnitus – Unable to Sleep Well and Having Frequent Headaches
Mr Lim*, 63 years old, has been suffering from Tinnitus since 2016. He used to work as a lorry driver earning a comfortable income of S$2,000 a month. However, after developing tinnitus he had to stop working.
Mr Lim informs us that he has difficulties sleeping after he developed Tinnitus and he only gets 3-5 hours of sleep each night. The constant ringing and high pitch noises he hears throughout the day from both ears have impacted his sleep and his ability to concentrate. Having Tinnitus also causes him constant headache.
Facing Financial Hardship
Mr Lim’s 61-year-old wife is holding a Long-Term Visit Pass and is working part time in a stall earning S$500. The couple have a 26-year-old son. Speaking to Mr Lim at his 1 room rental flat, he sadly informs us that his relationship with his son is estranged as he refuses to hold down full time employment and even asks his parents for money.
Living on S$500 a month has been difficult for both Mr Lim and his wife. He tells us that they eat very simply, and he turns off the lights in order to save money on electricity.
Your Donation can Help Mr Lim
Ray of Hope is raising S$900 (S$150 x 6 months) to defray Mr Lim’s living expenses for 6 months. It has not been easy for Mr Lim having to live with an illness that is constantly ringing and buzzing in his ears. He has been living with Tinnitus for the past 4 years with very little respite. Please give hope to Mr Lim and his wife!
