Kattalagan, 43 years old, is a father of three school-going children. His 10-year-old twin daughters and 7-year-old son are taken care of by his wife in India. To pay for his agent fees to work in Singapore, Kattalagan had to borrow $1,000 from his friends in India.

Since December 2019, Kattalagan has been working tirelessly as a general construction worker to repay his debts and support his family at the same time. His tasks mostly revolve around fixing electrical wiring and he was earning a basic salary of $900 a month. With his blood, sweat and tears, he had repaid his debts and could provide his family with a comfortable life.

Unfortunately in August 2021, Kattalagan was diagnosed with Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma, a type of pancreatic cancer, after working in Singapore for almost two years. Due to the late diagnosis, the cancer cells had spread to his other organs. Subsequently, Kattalagan received treatment in Singapore and the treatment was fully claimed by his insurance. However, he is unable to continue paying for his treatment fees in Singapore, and intends to return to India to continue with his treatment. It would take Kattalagan approximately six months to complete the treatment and to recover.

With his family relying on him for sustenance, Kattalagan is in great distress as no one can support him while he receives treatment in India. Ray of Hope would like to raise $3,600 ($600 x 6 months) to support his family while he receives medical treatment in India.
