Lingam was previously employed as a delivery driver, earning approximately $2,500 a month. He was staying in a two-room rental flat with his wife who suffers from diabetes, heart, kidney and liver issues. Lingam’s wife has only been able to work 2 to 3 days a week as a security guard due to the constant swelling of both legs.
“It pains me to see my wife struggle to go to work. I should be taking care of the family”, Lingam shared with the caseworkers.
As his wife suffers from multiple medical conditions, Lingam hopes to become the sole breadwinner and a dependable pillar of support for his family to lean on.
