Mandy, aged 50, used to work in the construction sector as an administrator until mid-January of 2021 when she lost her employment. After the passing of her husband in 2007, Mandy had to stay resilient and she became the sole provider of the family.
Mandy lives together with four of her children. Three of them are now employed while one of them is still pursuing her studies. Her three employed children are managing their own expenses and have their own set of obligations such as their student debt to pay for. Hence, Mandy has to support the general household expenses and her school-going daughter.
Mandy shared with our caseworkers that she is actively looking for a new job to continue supporting the family.
Ray of Hope would like to raise $1,650 ($550 x 3 months) to help Mandy tide over these difficult times. This will help her with her living expenses while she looks for employment in this difficult environment.
*Mandy is not receiving any financial assistance.

Mandy managed to secure employment
Our caseworker was updated that Mandy has secured employment early April. We would like to wish Mandy all the best in her new job!
Thank you donors for supporting Mandy while she was seeking employment in these uncertain times.
Hang in there. Stay positive.
Take Care, jiayou!
