Mdm Chan is a single mother to her 20-month old boy. The 36-year-old who holds a PR status, hopes to provide her Malaysian son with the best that she is able to afford by ensuring that she remains employed in order to support him.

Prior to giving birth, Mdm Chan had worked as a sale coordinator for about two years. After months of seeking employment, Mdm Chan started working at a coffeeshop in May this year, with high hopes and a promised gross salary of $1,020. For many of us, S$50 might be just a fraction of the restaurant bill for one of the family dinner. But for some of the less fortunate, it might be the money left in their pocket to last them through 2-4 weeks. I am not rich, I do not have much saving, but at least I am fortunate enough that I do not need to worry for my next meal. Please help, and do whatever you can. Which ever religion you belong to, your god will bless you.

Final disbursement to Mdm Chan

Ray of Hope will be processing Mdm Chan’s last disbursement this week. With this $700, we have fully disbursed the funds raised to her. Thank you donors for giving hope to the single mum and her young son!


3rd disbursement to Mdm Chan

Ray of Hope has made a third disbursement of $500 to Mdm Chan, and she has received the funds. She also has a thank you message to her donors: “Thank you so much. The funds and extra groceries came in so helpful.” Thank you donors for giving hope to Mdm……


2nd disbursement to Mdm Chan

As the amount raised so far is insufficient, Ray of Hope has made a second disbursement of $300 to Mdm Chan. Additionally, she has also received groceries which she shared have helped greatly with her current unstable employment situation.
