39-years-old Mdm Nisa lives together with her husband and three children (aged, 14, 5 and 1) in a two-room rental flat. Her second child was diagnosed with Global Developmental Delay and Mild Hearing Loss at the age of 2. Mdm Nisa’s husband works as a production operator to support the family. With five mouths to feed in the household, his monthly income of $1,400 is insufficient to meet the needs of the family. 

Ray of Hope would like to support Mdm Nisa by fundraising $1,500 ($300 x 5 months). This will help with her children’s school allowance ($120 per month) and their milk and diapers ($180 per month). 

Mdm Nisa is a mother to three children. Her second child was diagnosed with Global Developmental Delay and Mild Hearing Loss at the age of 2. While Mdm Nisa’s husband is the sole provider of the family, Mdm Nisa has to manage her children single-handedly. This includes sending their 5-year-old son for his speech therapy sessions and to his early intervention programme regularly. Her husband is a production operator earning $1,400 every month. Unfortunately, the amount barely covers the family’s needs.

Recently, Mdm Nisa’s youngest son was referred to a specialist as he was suspected to have delayed gross motor and social skills. Mdm Nisa has been very worried about her son’s developmental milestones ever since and has been diligently sending her children to their health check-ups. Due to the special needs of her two youngest sons, Mdm Nisa has been finding it difficult to enroll them into childcare centers. Hence, she could not seek employment to further support the family financially due to her caregiving responsibilities.
