This is the a second fundraiser for Mdm See’s family. Ray of Hope is raising $3,200 ($800 x 4 months) to support her family with their groceries, while Mdm See is recovering.

45-year-old Mdm See was the sole provider for her family of seven. Her husband, Mr Lee suffered a workplace accident in 2011 that left him paraplegic and permanently unfit for work; he was also diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Since then, Mdm See has been working part-time, while caring for her spouse and family, on her salary of $650/month.

The couple has five children, aged between 17 and 26. The three older children have moved out, but Mdm See is still supporting the two school-going children, one of whom suffers from multiple health conditions, including Nephrotic Syndrome, Martan Syndrome and Swyer James Syndrome.

Mdm See spent hours standing at work and the prolonged strain was made worse by plantar fasciitis in her right heel. Unfortunately, the pain became unbearable and she resigned from the part-time job in October. The Lee family’s sole breadwinner needs more time to recover before she resumes working. They were receiving assistance from the Social Service Office (SSO), which has since ended and is due for renewal.
