Hello!
We’re from Micah Singapore. www.micahsingapore.org
Early in the days when the COVID-19 crisis broke out, we came up with the Micah Corona Initiative. The first phase was to write cards of encouragement to our Healthcare Workers at Tan Tock Seng Hospital / National Centre for Infectious Diseases.

Now for phase 2.
The aim of this phase is to encourage and enable community-level organizations to help vulnerable persons in their neighbourhood (e.g. homeless, cleaners, healthcare workers in the nearest hospital, freelancers affected by the drop in work engagements).
We are doing this partly in collaboration with Homeless Hearts of Singapore (https://homeless.sg/)

Some of these initiatives will need money.
Our plan is to administer a small fund maintained by Ray of Hope with crowdfunded contributions to pay for implementation of Micah Corona initiatives.
Here’s how it works:
This crowdfunding campaign is managed by Ray of Hope (ROH). All monies will be collected and administered by ROH.
Organizations interested in Phase 2 may draw on funds, subject to Micah Singapore’s approval, to pay for implementation costs, e.g. purchase care package items.
They may write a request to Micah Singapore with details of proposed expenditure and supporting documents before incurring expenses.
If there are sufficient funds and the request is deemed suitable, Micah Singapore will approve expenditure.
Participating organizations will proceed to implement and incur expense first. They will then claim reimbursement from Micah Singapore’s representative (who receives the disbursed amount from the fund) by submitting documentary proof of payment e.g. receipts.
If at the end of this whole season, there’s excess funds, Micah Singapore and/or ROH may direct the excess funds to any charitable organisation or cause they deem fit.
